Hi ,
We get asked how we stack up against Our Cow and ButcherCrowd often enough that we decided to stop guessing and do the maths properly. Episode 13 of Ask The Farmers is Michael and Carolyn's like-for-like price check: four cuts almost every household buys — beef mince, scotch fillet, lamb loin chops and chicken breast — 1kg of each, priced straight off all three websites on the same day.
The same basket came to $139.80 with us, and about a third more at either of the other two (prices as at 6 October 2026). Here's the full breakdown cut by cut, the bulk packs neither of them offer, and why the supermarket is the comparison that really matters.
